SnapStream TV Toaster
I've always wanted to do a case mod that, once finished, looked nothing like a computer. Finding a dead toaster oven provided me a spark of inspiration. I took it home the same night, determined to make a computer unlike any other out there.
Picture with the outside case removed, holes for the power supply and motherboard were cut and the parts mounted. Notice how the power supply fan reuses the fan shroud from the toaster.
The USB 2.0 and Firewire ports were mounted in an existing vent. The power cable was re-routed through the factory grommets. Additionally, the "on" button to the toaster was wired to the power switch of the PC.
Here, the toaster is running, with the 12" neon tube adding a little flair to the case. As you can see, it's a tight fit for all of the components.
A final shot with the toaster up and running with SnapStream Beyond TV 3 and the Adaptec VideOh! USB 2.0 Media Center capture device.
